Loose objects numerals

In the Sensory Room the children were challenged to make the numbers 1- 10 with their buddies using the materials in the room.  They certainly came up with some unique ideas.

Estimating

Our estimation challenge this week was "how many yoghurt containers did we use during a week".

The children's guesses were mostly from 100 as last week's challenge had 107 steps.   We sorted then into groups of 10 to make them easier to count.

 
We discovered that there were 42 yoghurt containers in the box.

Pattern Making

We are learning about patterns - the children were challenged to make 2 and 3 part patterns using equipment around the room.

Making numbers

Today we used the coloured sticks to make numbers.
